Tahkenitch Landing Campground Description

Tahkenitch Landing campground is located on the shore of Tahkenitch Lake north of Reedsport and the Oregon Dunes National Scenic area.  The campground features lakeside camping, water access and a boat launch.  Most sites sit between the lake and the highway with some sites offering more privacy than others.  For the most part all the sites located right on the lake shore have very minimal privacy if any at all.

Tahkenitch Landing campground is an older campground with some of the sites having picnic tables that are more run down and rotting than others.  If you are looking for waterfront camping and want to spend time on the lake this is a great spot.

  1. I am the camp host for the Landing and have been camping here for a few years before. So, I must clarify: This is a dry campground; there is no water. AND the host does not sell firewood; hosts are not allowed to sell firewood or anything else to the public.

  2. Hi I am Dan I have been camping here for 68 years when our family rented cabins. It has always been my favorite campground. It is a shame to see how they have let it go. I would really like to see it improved wit water again.
