Riverside Campground is located like the name says, nestled right next to the Clackamas River. This small but popular campground fills up quickly due to its close proximity to the river despite being much further up the Clackamas than other campgrounds. The river drowns out almost all other noise in the campground which gives visitors the feeling of being in a very secluded and private campground. Most campsites are within 15 feet of the river and are spaced far enough apart to allow for privacy. Swimming at the Riverside Campground is limited though at the south end of the campsite there is a large eddy that allows for a quick dip if the temperature is right (the water is near frigid this far up the river). There is a camp host on site, drinking water from a pump and vaulted toilets.
