Lower Bridge Campground - Metolius River, Central Oregon

Lower Bridge Campground is located on the Metolius River in Central Oregon near the town of Camp Sherman.  It is one of the furthest downstream campgrounds in the Camp Sherman area and is open year round which makes it popular during the shoulder seasons.  The campground is conveniently located adjacent to “Lower Bridge” making it easy for recreational activities that require crossing the river.

There are 12 total campsites at Lower Bridge Campground with 10 of them sitting adjacent to the Metolius River and offering fantastic waterfront views.  During the warm months there is potable water at the campground (water is shut off when temperatures drop below freezing).  The layout of the campground is in a loop format and most sites offer plenty of space and privacy.

Recreational activities in the area include fly fishing, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding and ATV riding.  Wizard Falls fish hatchery is just a short drive upstream and is a great family friendly activity offering tours and fish viewing. For amenities you can find the Camp Sherman store about 10 minutes away which carries virtually everything you may need on a camping trip (pro tip: they have a great deli with amazing sandwiches).

Overall, the Lower Bridge Campground is great place to spend a weekend.
