Fish Creek Campground Description

Fish Creek Campground is located on the Clackamas River in the Mount Hood National Forest East of Estacada, Oregon. The campground is home to 24 campsites which are situated near the Clackamas River. It is in a densely forested area which offers privacy depending on which campsite you end up at and the nearby river helps drown out noise from neighbors. Though Fish Creek Campground is located near the river it should be noted that access to the water can be difficult due to the steep embankment leading down to it. In fact, at certain areas there are safety ropes and fences to protect visitors from taking an accidental fall down the embankment toward the river.

In general, Fish Creek Campground is a popular destination and can be very busy during summer months. It is popular with families, river rafters and outdoor enthusiasts and provides visitors with an excellent backwoods experience.
