Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area
8/17/16 – Fire danger is high with no known campfire restrictions at this time.

Deschutes National Forest / Crooked River National Grassland / Ochoco National Forest
8/17/16 – Fire danger level is extreme. There are currently no fire restrictions. Please note that many campgrounds or State Parks in Central Oregon may have their own fire bans in place. Be sure to check with each campground before you go for up to date information.

Fremont-Winema National Forest
8/17/16 – Upgraded to EXTREME Fire Danger. Smoking except for in a vehicle is prohibited in wildland areas. Camping, cooking or warming fires are all prohibited. There are some areas that allow fires in designated campground fire rings so be sure to check with the campground you are visiting. If in doubt to whether or not you may have a campfire the answer is almost always “no”. Campfires outside of designated campgrounds are prohibited.

Malheur National Forest
8/17/16 – Campfire Ban. Campfires are prohibited except for in designated campgrounds. This means you cannot build your own fire pit or use a fire pit outside of a designated campground. Details on the current ban can be found by clicking here.

Mt. Hood National Forest
8/17/16 There are currently no fire restrictions though fire danger is classified as HIGH.

Rogue River – Siskiyou National Forest
7/1/16 – 11/30/16 – Campfire Ban. For details view the fire restriction declaration.

Siuslaw National Forest
8/17/16 – Fire Level MODERATE – There are currently no fire restrictions or public use closures.

Umatilla National Forest
8/17/16 – Campfire Restrictions. Public use restrictions state that campfires are allowed however you must have a shovel and a gallon of water to help extinguish the fire. Fairly standard procedure but do note that fire danger is high.

Umpqua National Forest

Wallowa-Whitman National Forest
8/17/16 – The Rail Fire near Unity, Oregon is at 12% containment. Please check here for details if visiting this area.
8/17/16 – Phase A of fire restrictions are in place. Generally speaking, campfires are allowed however they must be in a designated fire ring and you must be able to fully extinguish the fire.

Willamette National Forest
8/22/16 – Fire danger level HIGH. – Public use limitations including campfires are in effect.

8/17/16 – The Blue Top Fire near the McKenzie River trail has resulted in closures between Ice Cap Creek Campground and Trail Bridge Campground. Access to Blue Pool (Tamolitch Pool) is closed. More details on the Blue Top Fire and closures can be found by clicking here.
